While there is seemingly no way to completely delocalize a Google search anymore, I found a couple of links that may be useful:
www.google.com/ncr -- which prevents the redirect to Google's local country domain
www.google.com/?pws=0 -- said to remove personalization
I just did a search with the latter and didn't see any location data until I got to Google Shopping, which wasn't even correct, but close. Apparently, if you've attempted to remove location settings, Google will base it on your IP address. The location my IP address gives Google is somewhere in Spring, TX, when I'm in Katy.
It sure would be nice to do a search to see how others are seeing results, but with everybody's results being localized, that's impossible even when you remove your own location settings. It's a wonder anyone from outside of our local area finds us anymore.
