It would seem that when I shortened the Forum Guidelines earlier this year, I deleted three important things that should have remained. So I have updated the Forum Guidelines to include the following:
"If you have a serious problem with something someone posted, including the Administrator and any Moderators, you need to contact that person privately. Doing so on the boards will not be tolerated as it only causes an unnecessary stir for members who are not involved. If a problem with a Member or Moderator persists, then you are invited to contact the Administrator to help you with the situation, if necessary."
"Any suggestions for new sites, tools, techniques, etc., should include detailed information so that members can make an informed decision about whether or not it would work for their business. If these details are not provided, either the post will be removed or details provided for you, whether by the Administrator, a Moderator, or another member who has prior experience or done the research. This is to protect members from making uninformed decisions and finding themselves in a bad situation as a result of taking someone else's suggestion on merit alone."
"Any business-related information provided should include proven facts and sources for that information. An example includes changes Google has made to its Shopping feature or algorithm. This is to ensure that misinformation is not being shared and any misinformation discovered will be removed, which may require deleting parts of a post, a whole post, or an entire thread."
