I came across this site while checking the internet to see if a Simplicity craft pattern was available. I ran into a site called The Ultimate Patterns Resource. If you find a pattern available via their search box, then you can download the image. Here's the link: www.patternskid.com/And here is what Pattern Resource has to say:"PatternsKid.com allows you to search, manage and add patterns to blogs, forums, websites and other online media. We host endless free Creative Commons images from many online sources and the entire system is also available as a WordPress plugin for seamless use within the WordPress platform. Searching for images and inserting them into blog posts or articles is designed to be very fast and convenient. Just search for images by keywords and grab the embed code to insert them into your blog. The embed code contains all necessary CC attribution, that are mandatory to include, so you don't need to contribute authors manually. If you want, you can customize your embed code: resize the image as well as select the position in which they'd like to appear on their blog. It's then simply a case of copying the short code and pasting it into the final site."

That's a pretty nifty tool for pattern sellers. I'll have to let Moonwishes on eCrater know because that's mostly what she sells. Although, knowing her, she's probably already aware of it. LOL

I know. I thought about @catcop . I think she sells patterns, right. I was thinking maybe she might like this....but like you said, I thought she may already know about this.
I literally like just the patterns also.....not just the craft patterns themselves.

I don't know about this site. Very cool.
I wanted to produce fabric pattern to sell a very long time ago. I know that the pattern has to fit within a certain space and the can repeat "properly" to form to fabric spec. I remember it took a long time for me to prepare some of the thoughts (before computer)
Now I see that you can work on a pattern on spoonflower.com. I see people love the site since they can make their own fabric design and sell them, but they really don't like the high price of the fabric. I keep looking at this and worry that it is my design and the copyrights.
That's why I would like to find a program that I can work offline and get my designs copyrighted, then decide to have them printed through a fabric company or spoonflower.
I just haven't had time to do the investigation on this, but it is one of the items on my things to do list. I do have some of the patterns, somewhat worked out, but they need to be fitted to size to make sure they are in the proper layout for fabric printing.

I do not blame you for feeling this way. I'd be weary about it with patterns also in that respect and I'd be nervous with a site like this being out there when it comes to creating your own pattern. Maybe you could email them (don't know if there is a way) and ask them what they do in the way of copyright...like maybe ask them do they get permission when doing this. I guess it is good to know especially if someone is going to be using a pattern (not the craft patterns necessarily) on their blog for whatever reason they do need to use the patterns.
