I just installed several plugins to the forums for members to use, which I'm about to discuss in another announcement. One of them included Thread Linker that I thought admin could use to categorize related threads for easy searching/access (ie, SEO tools, webhosting services, payment gateways, etc.). However, after installing it, I made absolutely no changes to it and it temporarily wiped out ALL of the threads URLs so they couldn't be accessed.
I had to disable the plugin to get all of the thread URLs to return. I gotta tell you I was freaking out there for a few, thinking I just screwed up the entire forum. LOL It's a good thing I was able to investigate and figure out that it was probably the culprit so I could disable it. It's an even better thing that everything returned back to normal after doing so because I was worried the URLs were gone for good.
I'm not really sure what the purpose of this plugin is now and if I can't get the creator to explain how to use it without having to go thread and edit ALL thread links, I'm just going to delete the darn thing. I did just leave a message on ProBoards's support forum letting them know that a warning message needs to be included in the description for the plugin because there may be some forum owners who won't realize what's going on or think to disable it. I, for one, nearly had a panic attack. LOL
Anywho, things are back to normal now. I just wanted to make this announcement in case there were any members who tried accessing threads in the last 30-45 minutes or so.
