Good morning!
As you all know, I've been busy working on my other biz, which means that my mind has been racing with all sorts of ideas related to that. One thing in particular is what kind of articles I can begin my new biz blog with -- other than the virtual assistance ones. Since the biz serves a variety of industries, on and offline, it's is all related to commerce.
So, much of the info I would be including on my blog would relate to your businesses, as well, and I was wondering exactly what sort of info the members here would be interested in. Not only that, but I would also like to know what types of posts would interest you in general.
We still have a small group of active members here, but not many post. Of course, I'm not saying that you're required to post. I'm just trying to figure out how to get members to participate more so those few of us who do post don't feel like they're talking to themselves. LOL
At one point, I was trying to keep the activity going by posting personal stuff because that's all I had to share...until one former member bit my head off for doing so. So I have refrained from doing that too much and certainly won't be resorting to that again just to keep the forums alive for those who want them to remain available.
Although, considering the lack of participation and the dwindling number of active members, one naturally has to wonder if the forums should remain available. As it turns out, I won't be using these forums for my other biz. I may not have forums at all for that biz since the business info I will be providing will be shared via the blog, which peeps can comment to (haven't decided yet if I should moderate the comments).
IF I were to have forums for that biz, there's a feature available to include one directly within my site. However, I don't think it would be good for business to have forums associated with my biz site where I'd have to worry about moderating anything. I certainly don't have the time for or interest in having to approve everything prior to posting like some sites do, but may have to do that for my blog to keep it clean and monster-free. LOL
So, what would interest you and encourage peeps to participate more? Don't get me wrong, I'm not considering shutting the forums down. Whether or not peeps post, these forums will remain active because there's a lot of good info available here on both public and private boards, which will remain private. I guess I'm just trying to light a fire under peeps' tushes. LOL
