How to Change Your Logo/Avatar

When changing your logo/avatar, you can use an image uploaded from your computer, one hosted elsewhere online (ie, Photobucket, Picasa, etc.), or the generic one provided by the system. To change your logo/avatar, simply follow these easy instructions:

• Click the Profile link in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
• Click the Edit Profile button at the top right of the Profile area. This will take you to the first tab on the edit page, Avatar, where you'll see the option to change it.
• Under "Choose how your avatar will display," you'll see four options:
• Use only your Default Avatar, which refers to the avatar showing in the box on the far right.
• Use only the Uploaded/Linked, which refers to the one showing in the box directly to the right and for which I'll provide instructions below.
• Combine them, use the Uploaded/Linked as a background for your Default Avatar, which means you can use the Default Avatar in combination with whatever you upload or link to as the background.
• No Avatar (Default Setting), which will keep the faceless avatar that displays when first joining.

[li]To use the Default Avatar, simply click the first check box. You can also use the Avatar Maker under this option to design your own by clicking the Edit Avatar link under the image.[/li]

Uploading/Linking to Your Own Logo/Avatar

• Check the second box in the list next to Use only the Uploaded/Linked.
• Under the Uploaded/Linked box to the right, click the Upload/Link option below the image.
• To upload one from your computer, click the Select Image button and select the image you want.
• To link to one hosted online, copy the Direct URL provided by the hosting site, paste it into the second box, and click the Link Image button.
• If necessary, click the X at the top right of the dialog box to close it.
• Click the Save Avatar Changes button and voila! You're done!
