Hi Boardies, If you've ever listened to Ebay Radio, there is a segment called "Dish A Listing". It is very helpful to have others look at a listing that isn't moving for ideas to improve it. Sometimes an item is missing an important keyword, needs a different or better photo, or has other issues, but the seller can't see it because they were the ones who created it. I think this would be helpful for all of us! There's just one caveat...be supportive! Sometimes critiques can feel like criticism, so it must be understood that suggestions must be given in a supportive manner, and those receiving the critiques must not get defensive. If this is all good, then here's a listing that isn't moving for me, any suggestions? cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=181341601655&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:ITI've priced this item as low as $19.99, with no takers. Thanks! Ann

Its a nice item. You'd think with the free shipping it would have moved by now. Depending on what the original tagged price is, and how much wiggle room you've allowed, what about stating that original price?
Other than that, I really think it has a lot to do with the mentality of ebay buyers these days. It seems that sellers have to almost give their items away on ebay for any interest to get generated. That's why I rarely list there anymore and that's why when I'm doing price comparisons ebay is the last that I consider.
Good luck

I think it's a nice item and don't see anything missing from the description. Personally, I've found that offering free shipping doesn't really help because I have to price the item higher. When peeps are doing searches, they usually base their initial impression on the item price. So, why not try lowering the item price and offering reasonable shipping?
About the only other thing I'd suggest is changing the title a bit. I'd remove the word "embellished" and add the details. Something like "Kaelyn Max Aqua Cami and Long Sleeve Jacket Set with Satin and Beaded Trim Misses Small" may garner more interest.

Purple brings up a good point about the shipping.
I would hope that by now, buyers would see right through the fantasy of 'free shipping'. They must know that somehow, somewhere, they will pay for the shipping.
Personally, when I see free shipping offered, I'll usually pass the item by because to me it's a trick and I don't like tricks.
Hope that helps.

I agree with Purple Iris' suggestion about the item title. Not to be picky but you said: "I've priced this item as low as $19.99, with no takers." Actually you have the item listed on Bonanza for $18.93 and I assume no takers there either. So perhaps the price is still too high? That is always the million dollar question isn't it. :-SThere are those (on other forums besides this one) who say lower the list price and add reasonable shipping. That might attract more potential buyers. But the the giant eBay says offer free shipping to attract more buyers. So not sure which advice is correct. You have very nice items and attractive stores on both sites.

The word Embellished is one I wouldn't use to search might take it out and add satin trim with beading. Material wise maybe instead of crinkle use crepe. Price wise that is a tricky one I don't see it as high but most peeps are thinking Walmart or Target prices which is a hard battle to win, depending on you wiggle room on price come down maybe $3.oo or $4.oo and see what happens. Sometime it just takes time and patiences for the right buyer Good Luck.

I'd call it a Twin Set. That's what most people know this type of coordinating set as in retail. That's what the manufacturers usually classify it as. And because it's polyester, refer to it as Easy Care, Easy Wear...

I feel your pain Ann... I sold two $1200.00 suits, One was a Mans Hickey Freeman Pinstripe Suit. The other was a Woman's Alberto Makali two piece couture evening pant suit. I started them at $120.00 on eBay because I knew I couldn't get more for them, and slowly, reduced my price. By the time I was at Bonanza, they finally sold for around $35.00. That made me sick.

I find clothing to be a hard sell on ebay. Other things, no problem, but clothing, ehhh. Other than T shirts. Sorry I can't be of help, I like your listing and the item. I for one do not buy clothing online as I have a hard time getting a correct fit when I can try it on. What is your return policy? That can hold people back as well especially on a clothing article.

Some really great suggestions which I will definitely incorporate! I use free shipping because it places my items higher in Cassini search. Thanks everyone!
